Steve Smith

In his role as PreConstruction Manager, Mr. Smith is responsible for assisting the Director of PreConstruction with budgeting and pricing from the conceptual level through design development documents. Responsibilities include site analysis, building systems estimating, quantitative analysis, cost trending, risk assessment and subcontractor relations.

Mr. Smith has grown up in the construction industry, has over 28 years of Estimating and PreConstruction experience in all facets of residential, commercial, and multi-family construction as well as over 20 years of Project Manager experience. Prior to joining Middleburg, Mr. Smith spent numerous years with several residential and commercial construction companies in Ohio and North Carolina in various capacities as CAD Manager, Sr. Project Manager, and Sr. Estimator roles. Mr. Smith has experience in Residential entry-level and Custom Homes, Commercial, Institutional, K-12, Healthcare, MHA, Senior Living, and Multi-Family High Rise projects.

Mr. Smith received his Associates Degree in Civil Engineering w/ Architecture from Stark State College and his Bachelor’s Degree in Management with Finance as well as his Master of Business Administration with Management from Walsh University North Canton Ohio.
